For years I felt alone, always the odd one out, and feeling like there was something wrong with me… I never really fit in and moved around A LOT (military life). Creating for others is what fed the narrative for people pleasing and seeking self-worth through external validation.
I was always an overachiever, but felt like I was never getting ahead! Burning the candle at both ends for good grades, and then not knowing how to translate that into building my own business. Not having anyone to talk to, I spent my time reading self-help books, downloading countless courses and free content, doom scrolling and consuming all sorts of content from various industry leaders and motivational speakers.
The result? I felt WORSE!! Completely overwhelmed by all the information and I felt too stupid or ashamed to reach out or admit it to others… I felt EVEN MORE ALONE and embarrassed to admit my struggles - especially when I came across so fun on social media - hiding behind my smile and masking like I have my entire life.
